As a Database Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the foundational infrastructure modernization Project, serving as a key member of the infrastructure management division. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and deliver multi-tenant databases and service offerings critical to the success of our project.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and support Oracle databases in both Non-RAC and RAC environments.
  • Implement and maintain Oracle Grid Infrastructure release 19c on Unix/Linux platforms.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of database environments by setting up robust security measures.
  • Conduct performance tuning, RMAN backups, and patching of grid infrastructure and Oracle RDBMS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and support Oracle infrastructure.
  • Lead the charge in adopting modernized architectures such as hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Participate in application and database outage incidents, providing troubleshooting solutions and root cause analysis.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 13+ years of hands-on experience in database engineering.
  • Proficiency in implementing/managing Oracle Databases in an RAC environment with at least two years of production support (mandatory).
  • Experience with Oracle Grid Infrastructure release 19 or higher on Redhat Linux.
  • Familiarity with Oracle ASM cluster Filesystem maintenance and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Ansible/automation/scripting for efficient database management.
  • Experience supporting high-availability production databases and configuring/supporting Oracle Active Data Guard.
  • Exposure to database architecture and design, including Oracle Advanced Security Option and Golden Gate for Oracle Replication.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.


Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with Oracle Advanced Security Option.
  • Familiarity with cloud, preferably AWS & Azure.


Additional Information:

  • Based in New York City - 100% REMOTE.
  • Scheduled Work Hours: 35 hours/week.
  • Duration of Contract: 12 months.
